Electric Vehicle Support

"Installing the Future Today"

Electric Vehicle Support is a division of Puget Sound Solar LLC.  We are a Washington General Electrical and General Construction contractor whose involvement in renewable energy quite naturally led to the use of electric transportation because the 'fuel' can come from the sun, for free.

We are a Clippercreek distributor and installer; Clippercreek is the oldest and most experienced manufacturer of EVSE providing a range of products delivering up to 80 amps at 240V from a Level 2 charging station.

We are an SPX Certified Contractor, installing EVSE for SPX, Ecotality, Coulomb, Chevrolet Volt, and Smart Fortwo Electric Drive.

Transportation is one of the most inefficient energy use sectors in the U.S., wasting 80% of energy as heat, and releasing millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.  Vehicle owners can directly reduce this waste and carbon footprint by driving electric, rather than gas-powered cars.  We are all about making that happen as much and as soon as possible.

Jeremy Smithson    -      If you count scooters and e-bikes, Jeremy has been using electric vehicles since 2003.  He has been an owner and driver of an electric car since 2006 and an electric pickup truck since 2007.  Each of those vehicles came with Level II charging stations for quick charging.  For the past 7 years he has been a proponent of transportation electrification; as an electrical and solar contractor it made sense to him to form a company dedicated to helping current and future EV owners plug in.

Pamela Burton -  Co-owner of EV Support, Pamela purchased her 1997 Solectria Force sedan in early 2006.  Since then she has enjoyed not having to stop at any gas stations and has fueled her vehicle with the output of the solar electric system she purchased in 2005.  Pam has a stated preference for hassle-free EV driving and charging, and her customer service skills have made her an invaluable asset to our company, keeping the process smooth and painless.

Michiel Zuidweg - Project Manager, is a pleasure to work with and will sweat the small things on every installation.  He works with customers, crew, inspectors, manufacturers, and all involved in the project and then delivers the best results.

Chris Toler
-
Lead Electrician, brings a journeyman's set of skills and experience with all types of electrical work and is a key asset on commercial and institutional projects.  He has experience with first and second generation EVSE and he pays attention to detail.  Chris will get it done fast and right.

Thomas Vroom - Lead Electrician, comes from a commercial background and can handle all types of EVSE.  Thomas started with us in March of '08 and keeps standards high on each installation.
